UK : Vinyl overtakes digital music sales in Britain Still got all my old skool vinyl from late 80s onwards; just need to find time and energy to start mixing it again (which is actually way more difficult than using the modern computerised controllers).
Hopefully this will also encourage a resurgence in the use of proper hi fi equipment (doesn't need to be the way overpriced "audiophile" stuff but anything with tried and tested 1980s era design from Japan or Malaysia is usually decent); and good loudspeakers make a whole load of difference too..

I Get Live was one of the largest releases from the Florida duo known as Mike and Charlie that rained energy into the dance music from 92-2000. Hitting several top chart spots with Everybody in the house, Let Your Body Rock, chuncky love, Come with me and Soul Music. Which reached ears in the likes of Fat Boy Slim and MAFDDAP & Tony Faline.
Concern over EDM pirate download sites impact… TBH this is a sad indictment on the kind of people who become "DJ's" nowadays - compared to the vinyl era high quality legitimate downloads of EDM tracks from reputable online businesses such as Juno etc really are dirt cheap; and the artists only get a few cents of revenue as it is. This is brand new content being ripped off (unlike a free download of something like an old-skool vinyl which has been deleted 26 years and you couldn't buy even if you wanted to).
There is no genuine moral reason to resort to the darknet to obtain modern EDM downloads - they are not controlled substances and EDM is very rarely censored anywhere in the world.
Just this week I've had several promotional tweets from well known European trance and house DJ's who are playing in countries which have fairly conservative governments and Islam as the majority religion; yet they and their music (in the middle of an era of global conflict) is being welcomed with open arms...
