even sorting out your mates is classed as dealing by law. being in posession of preparation/production equipment even more so. You aren’t going to be able to explain this stuff away as your college science project.
These days it seems to be a minimum 5 year sentence for dealing class A and it could be even more as Blair (and maybe the next government) are still determined to fight the war on drugs. You can’t always count on an early release either as the public opinion is moving away from this and the Courts like to make an example of the young ones especially as these days people your age are running crackhouses and carrying guns…
You could end up doing time in both YOI and adult jail.
Both will be shit as YOI is full of jumped up chavs who want to prove themselves, in adult prison you will be one of the young ones and have to deal with psychotic bullies much older than you. And the only drugs you can get in there are crack and heroin.
Its soul destroying, even if you do a small stretch it makes you more cynical, angry and paranoid – its virtually impossible to get many jobs and people get sucked into a vicious circle of crime and prison. I’ve seen a good few people I know go down this route.
You come across as someone with a good brain in your head and positive mindset.
Whatever decisions you make in life and however much the system pisses you off, try not to lose the best part of your youth to the criminal justice system!
