Go on, cough up…
Actually I should have said, spit it out!
dont drink every day or even every week or every month; about once a quarter is how often i do this and then i drink vodka [which other people tend to regret as i then have no social filters…:crazy_fre]
I find it funny how most people who use other drugs don’t like alcohol. I was once the same! You just need a good binge drinking session to get you back onto it. Alcohol is just as fun as any other drug!
the only probs i have with alcohol is that i never really found my limits & im definitly a binge drinker, when i drink (which isnt often) i drink to get drunk
with other drugs theres all the hype about the risks so i was always carful and can tell when need to take a break an chill but with alcohol, its social acceptable theres no risks in drinking you can drink as much as you like without being worried ect
people really need to change there views of alcohol, or legalise all other drugs then we cant complain
I admit that given a chance I will binge drink as well (although I never get violent) – and I think there is a definite trend towards combining party drugs with binge drinking.
I first started going to unlicesned raves in the early 90s; and although there was often a bar it wasn’t very busy…
Now there are bare cans/bottles of alcohol scattered all over the site after every rave (I read somewhere else some people from a crew collect them, weigh them in and pay for vehicle fuel that way (smart idea!))
Its still better than townie areas of a weekend but I do notice people are a bit more lairy than they used to be at raves – although the way better atmosphere prevents real fights (which are stopped within seconds if they do happen) I do see a far bit of rowdiness, girls being letched over and grabbed; the odd scuffle but these are things which never used to happen as much at raves about 10 years ago..
I drink on average every fortnight, but i selected “one a day” in the poll.
When I think about it, if and when I ever binge drink and get really out of it the effects are more intense and dangerous than any of the stimulants and hallucinogens I have done….. and I’ve done a few!

aye… and I notice even outside parties lots of people combine stimulants with alcohol..
Incidentally do people round here (EA) also get pilled up in pubs like they do in Reading? To me it sounds like an utter nightmare but a lot of my Reading mates would do this… I guess it must be relatively commonplace in some areas or pubs wouldn’t have the sniffer dogs sent round fairly regularly
Yes that happens, and coke and amphet.
It’s beyond me too. I knew of a few people that liked to do pills and go and get in fights. Can’t have been decent pills. Either that are they have a very twisted nature.
on the whole i like to relax with a beer each night, and i will have a fortnightly binge. As for the drinking at raves mentioned by GL, i havnt really tried any drugs and at the moment am quite happy with drinking wen i go, luckily i am a very sociable drunk and often like to start off conversations with strangers and meet new people etc. when at raves, i guess my drunken mentality is similair to the loved up effects of pills, but then again i aint tried them so i wouldnt be too sure?

nah, I’ve met people like that in Reading as well. They are taking the same drugs as everyone else is and quite simply they do have a twisted nature and are just aggressive anyway. Pills can amplify bad feelings as well as good ones.
Still can’t understand why you would want to take stimulants whilst just in a townie place; would only make me paranoid and feel bored/boxed in (I like exploring and having mad conversations with people as much as I like dancing/listening to music)
i drink almost every day, but mostly I know my limits and stick to about 3 medium strength beer, or my homemade cider, or half a bottle of red wine
sometimes I do drink a lot more than that. apart from talking a bit more nonsense than usual, people can’t usually tell that I’ve drunk a lot… i don’t get violent or especially loud, just happy and talkative. I can outdrink a lot of hard-drinking men (that’s not meant to sound like a boast, just a fact)
That reminds me, gotta get my old homebrew kit out, whats homebrew cider like then? i only ever tried making lager an bitter.
