Although I don’t think the authorities are too bothered about more esoteric substances if they so much as think you are making MDMA on a commercial scale its more likely to spark investigation and surveillance…
also its not trivial chemistry-wise and involves potential fairly serious hazards to you, the environment and wherever your lab may be situated.
Going by UK sentencing I expect you are looking at around 10 years for being caught as a chemist as opposed to 5 years for even dealing small amounts…
TBH you are better off obtaining MDMA at raves or the usual sources…
