yea. my mate jamie now has fits and will have for the reast of his life. i myself now have a heart murmour where my heart feels like ive taken a pill. (like a rush of extasy) and i feel like im gonna pass out. one day i was lying in bed (you know when you lye on a vein and you can hear your heart beat in you ear) and it was actually my heart stopping for about a second. and then starting again. another guy i know died of a heart attack at the age of 23. dont do em mate!!!

I’ve had short term (a month or two at most) depression/mood swings/difficulty concentrating at times when I was doing loads (about 7-10 years ago now) but no lasting ill effects.

I don’t think they really affect long term memory either, as about 4 years ago I had to set up a home-built router which involved remembering stuff I had learned about computers at the height of my raving days; yet I could still remember how to do this… so I can’t have caned my brain that badly… raaa

one of my mates was told at tyhe hospital by the heart doc the if it was possible to build up a heart muscle(he admited nothin to the doc )that his heart muscle looked like it had been pumpin iron! and also i find that i seem some times to show no feelings u know kinda numb and i often laugh at the worse times !(may be its time for the men in the white coats ! thank to everyone who replyed and again soz bout the crap spellin,s

there is an “emotional backlash” from taking them but (if you don’t overdo things) I think it seems to cause less problems as you get used to it / get older.

In recent times when I go partying I feel no worse midweek than I would have done when staying sober….

the next day seems to get less painful as time go,s on back in the day tho the scare tactics used in the press were a bit over the top i think tho in saying that if ur an arse hole to before takein e (and who has,nt met a few of those )u will be a bigger arsehole after !

No real probs with MDMA unless Ive really caned it,then I struggle with huge comedowns of a week or more,getting better at avoiding those these days though:wink:

its definitely added to teh severity of my depression and anxiety for the last few years. i still take mdma about every 6-12 months but the damage is already done. be fucking carefull, you dont want to use up all your happyness. and it does happen.

Nothing to do with weed then?

Sorry, but I used to cain weed and beans for years from 14 to 17 ish. Had to quit because I was majorlly depressed and para. After a year I started doing pills, and other rugs and have never had any probs since (Haven’t touched weed for years.)

Imo its the weed that fucks you up more than anything else. The only long term effects of e has been that I am now addicted to dance music, and spend all my money on vinyl!!!!!!

I rekon I’ve taken the best part of 500m pills mostly between 92 and 2000, i only do E about 3-4 times a year now.
I had a physical effect where my body seems to have reaction to larger doses, if I take more than about 300mg in one nigth I end up with food poisoning type syemptoms 24 hrs later that last for 2-3 days, I have a strange imune system and this may be realated to this effect.
As far as phycological effects I’m really not sure, its impossible to give a truley objective opinion of your own state of mind..isnt it ??
That said, now I dont spend every weekend off my face on pills, I find other things have difficulty living up to that level of intencity. Even when I do it now and again.. for me being up on MDMA and dancin hard to top tunage still does it for me everytime.

Well it used to be great but i cained it for like six months everyweekend 4-10 pills a weekend… it was evil… i am a pretty anxious individual anyway but after that 6 months it was almost paralizing… DO NOT CAIN IT… not worth it … i do E’s on special occasions now and not any other reason.

paranoia and anxiety attacks are a fuck … dont do it
