basically went out last night with my girlfriend and a few mates in aber and was having a wicked time. the people were nice ska music was pumping was brill. But as the night draws to a close and me an my mate are still dancing away he barely nudges this guy. Then the guy turns on him and statrs kicking off. All we were trying to do was calm him down. then the next thing i know the twats come along and belted me in the face. What the fuck is wrong with the world these days.
The great thing with bars and clubs really…… :hopeless:
Pissed up people who like to end the night with a fight :you_crazy i know a few people like this not just lads but girls :crazy_diz
I really dont get it but i see it happening more and more often.
its a shame as it can put a real downer on your nights out 😥
yeh it did put a bit of a downer on the night cause i ended up getiing chucked out. but this guy was just a typical piss head looking for a fight.
hope you are OK now – its shit when you get in trouble for being the peacemaker
IMO it is getting worse TBH – I’ve been involved in various late night activities since age 15 (yep I was an “early starter”) and even if I was in a commercial venue violence was actually fairly rare during the late 80s/early 90s (then again I never went to many town centre venues, or if I did they were the “alternative” places)
yet today I’m always looking over my shoulder, particularly as in my new area I often stand out in a crowd being the only Asian there and racial tension has increased in this country… everywhere I go, even some free parties I am a bit more wary nowadays
Its shit for promoters as well as it means one lowlife can start a fight and even if they lose and/or get nicked they get your night or even your venue shut down
The saddest thing is this sort of stupid behaviour is exactly why the cops clamp down on all sorts of late night activity, and if we are not careful the authorities may go back to earlier closing times if they think later opening means more violence..
well, im ok but i have a nasthy temper so after i got hit the fight or flight kicked in and he got a a bit of a shoeing
well at least you didn’t get nicked..
that really is shitty as even though you would probably only get a caution they put a marker on your police record that you are “violent” (this can stay for life as well!) so every time you meet a fed and they stop check you they expect you to kick off at them and treat you accordingly…
yeahi dont like the whole watching your back thing you have ot do when out and about nowadays. i mean i dont like fighting at all, it even got to the stage when i have been started on in my village local by some pissed arse wip who wants to try and look hard!
Yeah i hate it Raverbaby when you get thrown out for self defence really pisses me off..
Well i have adopted the ignore and walk away i dont bother puffing my chest out and having a go as it so much easyer to leave it move out the way. well if a mate gets smacked obviously you are gonna help em, deffo if they are innocent…..
quite ironic really cause it was when i was walking away to ignore him he smacked me. Was like he was waiting for me to let my guard down. anyway just found out the guy lives on my campus to, so maybe i will head over an try to sort things out with him.
be careful here – more so as this was a fight with a fellow student rather than some pissed up random…
I don’t want to sound patronising but a mate of mine was a uni lecturer and was telling me about how much control and power university authorities have over students and how they are clamping down on “student-related anti-social behaviour”
it appears you won the fight, so despite the circumstances going to “sort it out” with this guy it might be seen as bullying/intimidation if he grasses you to uni authorities…you can get disciplinary charges for this or even be suspended or kicked off your course if it is alleged that you are the aggressor…
if someone is prepared to attack you like that they may well try more underhand tactics, is it worth risking your future for one stupid argument?
i know, just wanted to make sure everythings cool to prevent any scuffles in the future.
Not sure what the best way is to tackle this problem – maybe a mutual friend or something? [was the guy sober enough to actually remember what happened?]
probably not to be honest, ah well we will se how it pans out
hope ur ok, morons like that dont deserve the right to party, but oh no, theyd rather give people like that overpriced clubs, than let the friendly type have a party in a field. grr!
All is not lost though, at least u arent a moronic fuck-tard like him! xx
