I’m moving up to Nottingham in September so wont be able to visit the local gems around here in season.

Would anybody in the area be kind enough to share thier local mushroom knowledge? :group_hug

I’m looking forward to this season. Found a few on dartmoor last year. If anyone knows of any good spots that aren’t over used in the devon area, feel free to drop me a pm. I’ll behave myself. Equally anyone in devon who needs a point in the right direction drop me a line. I only really managed to find the one spot last year. Although it worked alright couldn’t do any harm having somewhere else.. I hear people can pick carriers full of them in an afternoon and it took 2 of us days to get like 200 or so, so I guess the spot we found isn’t great.

Have a rough idea where to look (thats for the pm the other month mate) but I would hope that some of the posters from the Oxford/Newbury/Reading etc area want to offer advice, or tell me where a field is and I will come with a camp stove and enjoy a cup of fresh brew :laugh_at:

same i would love to know of some spots in newbury/reading/hampshire.
a few mates of mine know some good spots mate, around newbury way you could come picking with us if you wanted, send me a pm if ure up for that. peace

There must be loads of places near sheffield up on’t pennines an all that.:wink:

Yeah I know they are common in Kent, I’ll be going for a hunt towards the end of this month, just waiting for the night time temp to go below 10c.
