Just bought a 20 deck of B+H silver today and they’ve started putting the pictures of body parts on them already. On mine, there’s a picture of someones head and cross section of their neck with throat cancer.. and next to it in red writing it says “Smoking causes a slow and painful death” .. was pretty disgusting..

I didn’t think they were gonna start doing it this soon.. I thought at least next year.. but hey =/ Apparently they’ve done it on Mayfair cigs aswel but I dunno.

however, I don’t think it’ll stop me smoking. I mean, it’ll put me off buying cigarettes but I can just buy them and not look at the images.. They are pretty rank..Has anyone else seen them?

If they’re gonna go to such extreme measures to stop people smoking, why don’t they just ban cigarettes altogether? Well, that’s not gonna stop everyone smoking.. But a fair few y’know? But they’ll never do that…Instead, they’ll just put disgusting images on the packets.. :you_crazy

i thoguht you were tring to quit? … i haven’t seen the pics yet tho .. i can’t find them bloody charcole filter tips any where either 😥

Yeah, Friday is my quitting date haha.. hopefully.. unless I give in 🙁

banning cigarettes would work as well as banning drugs has across the world..

I expect there will soon be a return of the use of cigarette cases like in the old days…

I had a packet of drum for 3 days before someone else picked them up and pointed out the graphic image –
I’d not even noticed it :laugh_at::laugh_at:

I dont pay much attention to the packet but whats inside

Haha, really?
Nah, that’s what I’ve been thinking really though.. That you don’t really have to look at the packet… I mean, I don’t really know many people that sit and pay attention to their cigarette packet.. But I think the idea behind it is to make people pay attention to it.

The government gets too much money from the taxing of cigarettes, so they’ll never ban them.
If they did, a lot of money will be gone for them to fly privately and buy tea and rich tea digestives.

The images sound more interesting than disturbing to me.

I saw this yesterday, mine was a picture of a normal lung and a diseased lung next to it, unpleasant but you can always just turn the packet over.

the govenment get more money from cig taxes then they have to pay out for treating smoking related illnesses .. so it is not in there interest to ban it
