just wondering, and i know it’s a silly question, but the stuff i had been buying was around 1gram-1.6 grams per £10. And i never thought about it before, but am i smoking skunk?

only sparked my interest as when i was in btn clubbing last friday night, my mates bought off these guys who had got a quarter of weed for £20 and something they said: “this quarter was half the price of skunk so it was £20” And usually when i’ve had quarters they were £40 cheapest, and the best stuff i ever had was about £70 a quarter.

Sorry if the answer is glaringly obvious to any of you guys, i’ve just never thought/been told about that it was skunk.

Skunk is basically a blanket term used by the UK media for what is basically high quality cannabis. Cannabis grown hydroponically, or under HPS lights, or both. It can also refer to whether chemical plant feed was used to increase yield or strength. It tends to be bright green with lots of crystals, compared to standard weed which tends to be darker green or brown.

How stoned did you get?

Also the stuff you smoke does it have seeds in it? Back when i was a toker i used to smoke old skool weed (which actually got you high) and it would be covered in seeds. Used to be an enjoyable experience skinning up pulling the seeds out lol.

all the weed i get is lighter green, and the strongest stuff i had got me caned after 4 tokes. not even bong hits, just tokes of a joint. one of the most baked times i’ve ever had.

Also i’ve never had seeds in mine 🙁

Agreed. I started to go off ganja when skunk started to become more widely available. We used to have skunk as a monthly treat but then started to smoke it everyday and it kind of ruined the scene for me.

But actual weed man yeah the stuff we got was brown and came in proper big blocks. Packed with seeds and this stuff would make us actually high. Everything would make you laugh and music would sound better and you could go out down the pub on it.

Skunk tho just monged me out to the point where i didn’t do anything at all other than sit in all day chasing the green dragon lol! :crazy_diz

I have no idea what any of you are on about :crazy:

Skunk is a strain of Cannabis that was bred in the early 80’s by a man, who is now known as Sam the Skunkman. Incidentally he is a director of a company called Hortapharm, has patented Cannabis strains and has stakes in GW Pharmaceuticals who produce the worlds only pure THC CBD extract and supply it as a prescription medicine with great results for MS, diabetes and a whole raft of conditions. Any way back to the Skunk.

It is, I believe a three way cross. Colombian (Sativa), Thai (Sativa), Afghan (Indica). It provided a powerful, psychoactive high and is no longer availiable in that form. It has been bastardised and completely tamed by the Dutch seed banks. Something special is now 1-1000 seeds instead of 1-10.

The daily newspapers are not the place to learn about your drugs of choice. 😉

It was really fun mate! Cheap as well, I really don’t like cannabis these days. (skunk sent me para) but i wouldn’t mind a bit of the brown weed again.

This Jamaican dude we knew helped us with it back in the day (i can talk about it now cos he went back to Jamaica).

He was so fucking funny and sound, He spoke really really fast so you couldn’t understand him but he proper made us laugh,

I just used to laugh so much when we were around him, which was good cos it was when i first started smoking weed and he was like my mentor, Absolute quality geezer.

Was proper distraught when he left! :hopeless: 😉

dont try and sound like a smart ass. “skunk” these days is just what really strong weed is called.

maybe your information is correct but me and everyone i have ever met has described skunk as weed grown under lights (potent stuff with crystals that gets you paranoid)

My response was more a kneejerk reaction to a rather ignorant response to my post. I am happy for a discussion to take place. Hence why I hadn’t responded to your post yet. I was thinking how to respond, not just blurting out some crap about smart arses or “wot real strong weed is called”.
