thats a fairly normal sentence for modern Europe – the policy across EU is usually that drug use/addiction is a health issue, whilst dealing is a crime.

In the UK there is an offence of “posession with intent to supply” which carries stronger penalties – being found with 100g would almost certainly result in arrest for this offence and a Court appearance. 1 or 2 g is normally just viewed as “small posession” and the penalty can be as small as a Caution but is often a Caution Plus or other type of sentence where you have to go to compulsory rehab or anti drugs training sessions. being found guilty of Intent to supply and/or dealing usually results in prison time of 2-10 years (depending on amounts involved and previous record) of which about half is normally served.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in somewhere like DE you get 3 years and do 3 years whereas in UK they say 6 years and if you behave well in prison and are not violent you are out after 3 (sometimes sooner) as the prison spaces are needed for more violent criminals.

however sending 100g of any unlabelled powder through the UK post may trigger a security alert (as the post office do not know what it could be) – if any of it leaks out from the package its the whole sorting office evacuated, anti-terrorist cops with fire brigade special unit brought in and whoever sent the package is in even more trouble.

Most (if not all) North European prisons are nothing like that; (especially those of countries which are still trying to shake off the ghosts of the 20th century from WW II to the early Cold War periods where some very bad stuff happened).

the UK’s are about the worst and even then adult prison isn’t that bad. Unfortunately for under 21s not only is there a lot of bullying; its a myth that older sex offenders get “justice” handed out to them via other prisoners (if it does happen usually the person doing so is up for a similar or worse violent crime and does it to divert the attention from their own past and scare off other attackers). Older sex offenders are often co-housed in YOI’s (which means the civillian public judge everyone who has been in such a institution as a potential nonce); added to which the threat of rape from the old nonces actually got used by the screws to keep young offenders in check (the current political scandal mentions this although its been independently confirmed to me by folk who have been inside when this stuff was happening).

As many people who consider dealing as a career in the UK seem to be below 21 this is worth bearing in mind. I know a couple of lads who went in fairly recently; one to adult prison and the other to YOI and the younger one definitely was emotionally damaged by the bullying he experienced there.

In any case prison is extremely boring; and your sentence starts after you leave. In Britain your chance of employment is reduced to 33% no matter what qualifications you may have (being an intelligent person who has done time might even make things worse) and even in the liberal countries from what I’ve read “between the lines” in job adverts etc they still check and for high paying jobs go way beyond whatever the govt might have as equivalent of CRB..
