Racism in general just makes me sad. Even worse is that it can sometimes be a self-fulfilling prophecy and people end up conforming to racial stereotypes. People are just people. They are good ones, bad ones, funny ones, smart ones, and combinations of everything, but at the heart of it all we’re people.

This is something I’ve thought about quite a bit. I am a skinhead (no, I’m not a racist), and my ex is half Kenyan, I never thought that us going out would prove anyone who assumed I’m a racist wrong, because like you say, it doesn’t, but I reckon Mikimix is right, surely nobody would date someone of another race to prove that they weren’t racist.

I get your point, its the same way that if im in a group of friends that are all white, they will make racist remarks, but still have loads of black/asian friends, it is quite two faced really.

Your making too much of a generalisation, people dont date others just to prove they are not racist, DO THEY!?
