Because every substance known has a toxicity level in humans. Even water, which is how Leah Betts died, so far as I know.

So by that VERY narrow definition EVERY substance is a drug – with one exception that I am aware of. There may be others.

The one exception that I know of – cannabis. You cannot ingest a lethal dose. Because it doesn’t have a toxicity level.

Sure, you can shove 50Kgs of oil down someone’s throat, choke them and say “aha! Cannabis is lethal”. But that’s not a human being making a choice, that’s a sadist being a sadist.

Its not physically toxic but it can still be life effecting – what about the people who stop going out, stop showering, stink and forget how to function in normal society, or even forget how to communicate properly? Yes it ain’t physically addictive but neither is crack! People can get really hooked on weed and the fact people get hooked on it, means it is a drug. I’m not anti weed (though I don’t rate it too highly) I use to smoke it all the time, and as far as being nothing but a harmless plant, which some people think, I know some schizophrenics who will tell you different

Get some chemical structures of THC and other drugs and ask any chemist if THC is a drug, funny how qualified scientists aren’t trying to say weed is magical non drug…

The psychological addiction can be very strong, when I was a stoner I drifted through years where I achieved nothing, lost jobs, lost GFs, ran up debts and didnt care.

As for the ‘You cant overdose on weed’ argument, well it’s true it cant kill you directly, but you can over dose, every weed smoker will have experienced the ‘whitey’ at some point, that is a weed overdose.

Now dont think Im ‘anti-weed’, I love the stuff, but I think we should all be honest about these things, if you enjoy an occasional spliff or a few on the weekend thats fine, but if you find yourself smoking everyday, before work and as soon as you get home then dont deceive yourself, you have a problem and need to make a change.

I know people who would go crazy if they went a day with out weed, I never saw anything good about it and whiteys omg nothing gets rid of them fuckers and you sit wishing the high to END.. I get happy when I feel the stuff waring off LOL then I swear to never get stoned again..

But I got like that with cocaine, I would spend 200 euros a day on it and not care about debt/jobs or anything.. I spent well over 3 thousand in a month alone on cocaine.. mdma I got pretty bad with as well but not half as bad as I was with coke and LSD I spend very little on and get a tone of that but I could never understand why people go crazy for weed or how they go into debt for it…

I used to buy tones of it for mdma come downs or cocaine ones before I realised how much better benzo’s are like vallium temazepam and xanax.. and my local pharmacy in cyprus will sell me anything as well as them willing to sell me weed in the ukraine at the pharmacy when I went, I just had to pay them extra money..
