It depends If I’d just ordered some silicon to keep the inside of my speakers dry or some bath salts to keep the inside of my bath less wet (assuming that’s what bath salts do).

Stir a couple teaspoons into my tea? 😉

Give it a sniff, see if it smells of anything. Taste one? See if it reacts with any reagents, narrow down if it’s a phenethylamine or a tryptamine or whatever, or perhaps you know a mate with a GC/MS?

wow, thats at least 3 dead and Pat wouldn’t just get his fight, he’d be arrested for anything from serious pollution to attempted CBRN terrorism..

What is more worrying is that its often sold by the same Chinese suppliers of recreational drugs. Now the Chinese aren’t going to want to poison their customers either but mistaks can happen..

It does have legit uses in metal plating (including the metal pressing for gramophone records) etc so is easy to get – saw a 1kg tub for sale, you could probably wipe out the student population of a small college with that :crazy:

I’ve heard this quote before several times, it’s very true as even water is poisonous if you drink way way way too much, but yeah I wouldn’t chance it with that stuff! O.o

According to the wiki entry, it has a lethal dose of 200-300mg? That’s a surprisingly large amount, for cyanide.
