TBH even though they are persistent at present they cannot get away with a great deal in the UK or Europe thanks to effectively regulated public and private healthcare, and people willing to inform to the authorities when required so regulations are enforced, and others who can carry out the required surveillance operations to bring the bad lot to judgement. It seems that in the USA and some other countries anyone can give pseudo-medical treatment as long as they pay the rent for their premises and local licenses (zoning) and its all treated as “business is business”, even the regulations for actual clinics hospitals are minimal compared to Europe. If they or any other group try half of those methods in the UK the folk doing it would are nicked, same as any other abusers in a healthcare environment. it may not unfortunately always be immediate but they do get found out eventually, especially when there are enough eyes and ears to watch and listen (and not always those folk may expect).
