I’ve seen this being claimed but unless the entire lot is having large amounts of water added to make it exceptionally damp the extra profit would be miniscule, and punters aren’t stupid and would eventually get wise to it, more likely amfet would be bulked out with inert powders like anything else.
damp can also increase the problems with plastic storage items being eaten away (some other folk I know would store it in foil though that means they are probably selling aluminium sulfate too which isn’t nice.)
Also I’ve seen folk do it with pills too, as well as prepared deals of powder drugs (which were divided using drier quantities, as paste speed is messy to deal with) which wouldn’t have any commercial gain..
Another reason may be that speed freaks and drug users in general can become sketchy and forgetful – a fridge is a large object which stays in the same place and can be easily located rather than smaller stash boxes (when I lived in SE England, some dealers I knew would regularly mislay their stock :laugh_at: )
