fair point
my ip cracker detects we r all in the uk
They tend to put paracetamol in most UK medicines that have potential for abuse so it is dangerous to exceed the recommended dose.
Just get some opiates instead.

I am aware of this (8/500) however there are a few reports of this somehow having been missed out. *shrugs* seems unlikely hence my question in the first place.
May be the case. I’m having trouble finding a list of active ingredients on the web.
We used to use kaolin and morphine solution when we were kids. Dunno if you can still get it. It’s diarhorea medicine but the solution settles out if left still and you can pour off the morphine part and drink it.

yeah me too, found two sites that sell it that claim the only active ingredient is codeine phosphate which I think is rather unlikely. I might just get some anyway will be good for a cough at the very least.
I remember being fed kaolin and morphine as a kid loads, but I was also fed barbiturates ….
Bit read will self he’s got a funny book I read about an opiate addict with a kaolin and morphine addiction
My grandad apparently was addicted to ‘cough’ medicine after the war and that had codeine in it, apparently he didn’t go a day without it
But not aware of codeine lintus in the uk
You can but cupurofen plus that had more codine in it than 8/500
It’s about 13 and ibuprofen
the stronger kind of codeine linctus is still indicated in Commonwealth countries with public healthcare (i.e most Asian ones) but no longer in the UK due to abuse potential. curiously in “harsh” SE Asian countries “medicine” is tolerates whilst “illegal drugs” aren’t. for all the stereotypes the feds there would rather not see people getting hanged, especially with declining birth rates. it makes no rational sense to kill your new generations..
kaolin and morphine might still be available, but some blighter has changed the password to certain databases and I’ve got to have a good reason for accessing them nowadays.
you CAN get codeine linctus, but you now need a prescription in order to get it. I’ve used it around 4 times and it’s generally quite enjoyable in combination with weed. Chilled out, sleepy, sort of melting feeling, hot/cold areas around the body and a general numbing or heavy feeling.
To be fair it’s probably not worth the effort. It’s hard to get, it’s easily addictive and sometimes the side effects aren’t great eg. constipation etc.
It is possible to do a CWE (cold water extraction) on some pills that contain codeine and another substance like paracetamol. The idea is to separate the soluble codeine in water from the insoluble paracetamol thus leaving you with your codeine. However if you don’t do it right you can harm yourself as paracetamol and other substances are really bad for your liver.
To sum up, it’s probably worth a miss. There better things to do out there! Hope this helps.

it would seem not thats whats odd
I’m sure of it. I even saw bottles of it when i visited a chemist the other week. It is notoriously difficult to get it though, doctors are more reluctant to prescribe it as it’s addictive potential is high and it’s a bit old fashioned in terms of medicine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCl04drGx-8&list=PL3D99827DA9CE07F6&index=13 theres a part on this podcast (17minutes in or something) where opiates and addiction are mentioned.. If your not in any real pain you shouldn’t messing with any kind of opiate imo. theres people who can be prescribed for serious pain and still end up getting addicted, whats the point? :s
