  • So Last night I had this really really really weird reaction to the weed I smoked. Me and my friend split a SMALL joint, and then layed in bed to try to fall asleep. After I smoke I usually shake a little bit but this time it was BAD, I couldn’t stop twitching and I couldn’t just relax, I was really antsy and didn’t know what I was saying. Then about an hour in, Im not sure if it was just my mind or not, but there was a weird painful shock that ran up my legs. It felt really uncomfortable and it kept happening, and then it happened in my chest and I kind of felt like I was gonna die…..

Im not sure if other people have experienced that, or if I just built it up in my mind, when it wasn’t really real. The thing is that I smoked the exact same amount as I always do, so it wasn’t the amount. It was just really weird and it scared me really bad, I wanted to cry. So I just wanted to get some thoughts on this or if anyones ever experienced that, would really help a lot.

Was it a new strain or from a different source?

When I first started smoking I used to frequently get what I call phantom pains. They could occur anywhere on my body but dental pain and a fizzy patch on my brain were most common. The only reason these never bothered me is that these particular sensations only happened after I’d smoked pot and were always the exact same feeling so I put it down to psychological reaction, a mind over matter situation. I rarely get these pains now but still from time to time.

I want a fat smoke now lol

Sounds like maybe a conflict between physical need to exercise and emotional/weed inspired desire to chill out.

That may not be the whole answer but it’s pretty common to WANT to get sleep but not be tired enough TO sleep.

Maybe too much caffiene too late at night? Sounds like you felt pretty awful which suggests to me a little emotional need (to go out and party/meet people) but I could be wrong on that. Can’t recall getting a physical pain from smoking… ever.

I think I had some simila things at the end of my smoking carer. I put it down to psychological effects and panic attack like symptoms as skunk used to really “get to me” after i smoked it for so long. “phantom pains” is a really good description of what i used to experience.

Id agree with the panic attack explenation.marijuana, expecially sativas, cause fight or flight reaction in some ppl, also exmp panic attacks,,that May have very real physical sympto:bounce_flms- heart palpatations, chest pain, nervousness, feeling like ur having a heart attack.you prob have to get to the root of the problem it is id say 90% chance its psychological.neverthe less if that is happeing alot u should prob see a doc to get it sorted forsure,,but 9/10 times when that occurs with cannibus its psychological.also fyi strong indicas tend to have much less of these problems although more exspensive.

I’ve had something similar where i was really high, heard a loud bang and a car speed off and convinced myself someone had done a drive by on me. It hurt so fucking bad that i didn’t want to look down. 20 minutes later i checked and realised i was high as fuck so i just went home and took a few nightols

So basically you told yourself that the pains weren’t real and that helped you so it didn’t bother you?

I’ve had this and just stay strong, all new smokers get it when they start toking more. It’s just anxiety and will go away eventually.

Pretty much yeah. Never get them when sober only ever when high.

On weed i normally get into a super negative mindset where everything i think of is worse case senario and the world is a dark sinister place. i honestly find lsd 100 times easier to have a positive time on.
