  • I’m a 17 year old girl. I sometimes abuse prescription drugs, but usually very rarely. But a few weeks ago, I was really stressed out and a guy at school sold me a bunch of pills, so I went on kind of a drug binge during the past 3 weeks. I was high maybe like 10 or 11 days out of the past 21. Some days I took Adderall, between 30 to 50 mg, other days I took 10 mg of Ambien, and other days I took 20 mg of hydrocodone + 2000 mg of acetaminophen.

None of these doses, by themselves, is enough to cause any damage to anything. No massive overdoses here! I think the acetaminophen is the most dangerous, but I never took anything above the maximum daily dosage of 4000 mg. Still, I’m worried that there’s some kind of cumulative effect to taking so many drugs in such a short time period. I know it was really stupid of me, and I don’t plan to repeat it. If I ever use anything ever again, it will be very rarely.

I finally realized how dumb I was being two days ago. My last dose of anything was 50 mg of adderall on January 2nd. The come-down was unusually harsh, and I couldn’t sleep that night. Yesterday, January 3rd, I felt kinda shitty all day. Tired, weak, and (most disturbingly) I had pain in the upper right part of my stomach, like where the liver is :(((

It was mostly just a bit of dull discomfort, like a feeling of “fullness.” Like maybe my liver was swollen or something. But I also had a few sharp “twinges,” like a small sharp pain that would last for a second and then go away. None of this was very bad, just a little uncomfortable and super worrying. Today I feel a lot better, but I still have a little bit of that uncomfortable feeling and a few of the sharp twinges. I’ve been eating a lot of vegetables and citrus fruits and stuff, as kind of a detox, but I’m being a total hypochondriac about this.

There is NO WAY I can tell my parents about this. And I won’t go to a hospital unless I’m seriously sure I will die otherwise. It’s been more than 48 hours since my

I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine. After taking drugs for periods of time you will feel shitty anyway. To avoid feeling shitty after, best thing to do is avoid them in the first place.

If however your symptoms get worse, then I would consider going to the doctors.

stop taking adderall if you don’t wanna like shit.

I’m sure you already know this but acetaminophen has no recreational value, as p0ly said its most likely the adderall that made you feel shit which isn’t surprising as it is essentialy medical speed.

Just a side note, I wouldn’t take acetaminophen in high doses as as you say it can be pretty dangerous. 2000mg of it in one go twice what they say you can take, but shouldn’t damage you as a one off. I try and avoid taking it at all if possible personally as it doesn’t even work as a pain killer for me so there’s no point, but that’s just me.
