Personally i have no clue about shroom prices as i picked mine myself, but dose depends on the strain of mushroom. e.g 3.5g of P. semilanceata would be more than enough for 2 people, especially on their first trips.
As far as i’m aware i think cubensis is the most commonly used shroom in the US – it is almost half as potent as semilanceata. [This isn’t 100% so don’t take this as fact – but it’s definitely less potent.]
If you can get pictures of the shrooms i’ll gladly help you with dose etc. but just know that shrooms aren’t really a party drug imo – i think they’re much more suited for a chill atmosphere with a few friends.

tbh even if you know the strain you can’t guarantee what the potency will be as this is down to several factors including genetics and the conditions that the shrooms were grown in.

Also if you are doing shrooms for the first time and this is your first experience with psychedelics, I wouldn’t recommend doing them at a party. I would take them in a place where you feel safe, where you are not likely to be interrupted and where the only people there are people you trust. Otherwise things may not go so well.

And yes, people do buy shrooms by the gram.
