Anyone thinking about or does make there own beer? Searching thru the garage and i’ve got all the kit from my dad, Anyone done it before and have any tips? Or know of any good books or even what i need to make a half descent brew!:weee:
first look at the thread, I thought you we spamming for this: Build-A-Bear Workshop-United Kingdom: Home Page
My mates brew their own wine, my dad used to do beer, but his was awful! and just drunk to get drunk, there’s loads of stuff on line showing you how to do it, as I looked in to making my own cider at one time
oops, TG already made the bear reference lol …
My parents used to brew their own beer when I was younger, but stopped after I became an alchaholic (the two weren’t related just so you know lol).
I’ve been wanting to try and make my own for a while, it’s relatively easy, just it might not taste great to begin with untill you start to understand how to gt a good flavor with adding things to the brew. It just takes a bit of patience to not drink it before it’s ready. :laugh_at:

Okay thank you very much, Still trying to work this forums and just figgered out how to find my posted messages… I’ll have a good read thru on the link you sent me.
Oh i see my auto correct changed it to bear not beer….. Lmao i see the problem now…. My bad sorry.
Best newbie advice I have for alcohol generation is – use sterilising (campden) tablets to make sure all the gear is bacteria free before you start.
There’s different methods for beer, you can either buy barley malt (like dark syrup) or take a load of barley and malt it with heat.
Ready malt is easier for noobs but if you are looking for say the difference between lager and stout, the amount of toasting the barley gets first is key.
Beer contains hops. Ale (should be) unhopped.
