be careful with Marquis reagent as it contains some nasty harsh chemicals. It also goes off after a few months (when the CSI lot make it for their own use its made in small batches and date monitored). Don’t spill it on anything valuable or yourself either, its corrosive!

the chemicals for making Marquis can be obtained at most University chemistry departments and the recipe is online from various sources including the US feds! I would not suggest trying to make it up yourself unless you have some chemistry experience, are willing to sacrifice a proportion of a known good pill and even if you are at uni go careful as it probably could get you disciplined or sent down for misconduct/bringing the uni into disrepute. I’ve not been inside a uni lab for many years now and probably wouldn’t get let into most of them but I’m fairly sure they are locked down with pass cards and CCTV everywhere espeicially as they must be para about disaffected students trying to blow the place sky high, TBH there were times I’d happily have done over my old uni in such a way and I wasn’t even a chemistry student nor a follower of religion, that was just the comedown from 1990s old skool pills..
