The answer depends what is the real meaning of staying awake???
Even it happens I didn’t go sleeping for a few weeks, after around 4 days, my state under methamphetamine, freebase, (And some days XTC and LSD) is the moments which I love the most cuz my body is so out of energy that each time I smoke a freebase pipe or meth, my brain is like disconnecting and I begin to nodding off cuz the freebase takes my last energy away.
But as soon I hear a sound or something, I immediately open my eyes and the first thing I do is looking the time and around me, cuz even I was unconscious only a few minutes, I am totally out of reality and need to find a few marks to remember what I was doing or planning just before…
As soon I smoke again, it doesn’t take long until I am nodding off again after smoking again a bit. (doesn’t know if that is english)
(SOMETIMES, I HAD JUST MAKE A MEETING WITH SOMEBODY, BUT AFTER A PIPE, I PICK OFF THE NOZE AND COMING BACK TO REALITY 5 MINUTES LATER, I HAVE TOTALY FORGOTTEN THAT SOMEBODY IS WAITING FOR ME UNTIL HE PHONE ME ANGRY BACK…)
This kind of state can go for a few weeks sometimes and can’t be compared to a real sleep cuz it doesn’t fill the body with new energy like a good sleep in a confortable bed !!!
The only time I didn’t really sleep even a minute was 1992 when I was living in a flat right in front of the criminal police building, where was also the emergency police with the police ambulances.
I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT DAY, it was the 6th day without sleep, eating day and night XTC pills, snorting coke, smoking freebase, heroïn and pot when sunddenly in the beginning of the aternoon, my ex-girl friend saw me smoking a freebase pipe and falling on the floor, followed by convusions like hepileptic persons and then nothing.
I stopped breathing for nearly 2 good minutes. SHE WAS SO SCARED THAT THE ONLY THING SHE DID WAS OPENNING THE WINDOW AND SHOUTING IN DIRECTION OF THE CRIMINAL POLICE AND THE EMERGENCIES FOR HELP….
After having seen they were on the way, she realised that there was an insane quantity of XTC, coke, freebase, hero, pot and the whole equipment lying on the bed. So in the panic, she took all and throw it in the wardrobe just before the emergency rang the door bell.
My ex told me later that at the same time the door rung, I suddenly began to drool a huge amount of saliva and began to breath again, but I was totaly unable to remember what was happend, my name ,the day, age,…
The emergency took me to the hospital, but in the while they drove, my souvenirs came slowly back and I could answer the question like my name, adress,…
But even they wanted keep me in observation, I refused and was a hour later home again with the only thing I wanted : Smoking a pipe…
But my ex was not all right with that, so I began to be loud until she finaly agreed…
