ok, so i’ve been doing codeine almost every day for 3 weeks, and had 4 days off now. maybe im just dumb, but i didn’t think that much would happen stopping, but i feel like my insides have been tearing at the seams, and i’ve had some pretty nasty errr movements, sometimes a long distance from the relative safety of a mcdonalds. i’ve been dizzy, weak, couldn’t enjoy food, couldn’t smoke at all without some distress, muscle pains…. maybe its just me, or maybe i just coincidentally got food poisoning just as i stopped taking it, but either way, im not doing any opiate again :hopeless:

Not a fan of opiates myself. Would much rather smoke a joint or pop some benzos if seeking that mellow kind of buzz. Depending on your dosages it does sound like you’ve been doing quite a lot though. IMO it’s almost definitely the codeine, or sudden lack of, that’s made you feel like this. Never heard of any food poisoning causing muscle pains, unless you mean specifically in the abdominal region, but then it’s not really muscles, it’s your organs. Either way, hope this passes soon and you start to feel better.
funnily enough, i just started doing it when i was trying to not drink/smoke and they’re just always in the kitchen cupboard… drugs in the house baaaaaad :/ … im actually doing quite a bit better today thanks 🙂
3 weeks Strait can cause some withdrawls especially in muscle pains/headaches. I tend to take it for a few days then lay off for a week not only does it build my tolerance up but also causes no withdrawls. As far as “lean” or the syrup I drink that constantly with a Lil soda the only thing that varies is the amount in each drink and what I got going on that day. Never had any withdrawl symptoms off the syrup tho

That’s call opiate withdrawals mate, you’re lucky you stopped when you did tbh as they just gets worse from there. The reason you had to shit loads is cos opiates make you constipated, so if you’ve been doing them for a while and stop, it all comes out.
this reminds me of dipping some buds in codeine syrup and then smoking the buds.. lol.
I’ve been taking dihydrocodiene for about 3 months now, I’ve not taken a shit in 2 weeks, not taken a piss properly since fuck knows when. Yet my wankerstain GP KEEPS giving me them. I know he only gives me them so he can get his monthly bonus from the pharmaceutical companies, but there comes a point when too much is TOO MUCH. I’ve been thinking about handing the cunt a court summons for medical negligence as well as neglect. He knows I’ve become ‘a puppet of a man’ (I’ve lost a large amount of weight since he started me on them), but the catch-22 is that with out them I’m in agony 24/7, and with them I’m too smacked out of my face to do ANYTHING. I can’t even make a cup of tea half the time……
As for the court summons, I’m currently looking at the credentials for doing just so, all based on what the meds have done to me due to his prescriptions. To say I hate the cunt is an understatement.

You’re in agony 24/7 when you get off them probably because Opiates drain your natural Opiods from your body so without your fix you feel chronic pain because you have no natural pain relief left in you. Sadly you’re basically no different from a smack head right now in the sense that you are prone to withdrawal, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-pity, selfishness, resentment the list goes on and on. My advice is stop ASAP you do not have to take them, taper on them or if you want best solution get on a Buprenorphine/Subutex detox programme, that is the most painless, quick way to get most off Opiates these days.
As for your burning resentment at your doctor, reading from your posts on here you seem pretty clued up on drugs so I’m sure you were well aware of the addictive nature of Opiate type drugs and were probably happy at first to get them as I’m sure I saw you bragging about getting morphine from a doctor not long ago…? Look at your own part in all this, trying to blame the doctor for your addiction to Dihydrocodeine is insane and trying to get them done for medical negligence is just a total waste of time. Look forward, get off it if it causes you this much shit, Opiates are no long term solution and they lead to serious mental issues.
To the OP I find it interesting you put ‘I am never taking an opiate again’ at the end of your post. You hear this statement a lot with drugs and I hope you stick to it but drugs especially Opiates are incredibly cunning and deceiving and often take control of people. I’ve seen friends cry and swear even after weeks clean that they’d never touch opiates again in their life, to the next week being out of their minds again. Sometimes they relapse quickly, sometimes slowly… But it does beg the question, if one day we desperately never want to use ever again, then a week later using again, how much control do we really have? Do we just convince ourselves we wanted to use again to pretend to ourselves we have the power of choice? It’s an interesting subject and from what I’ve seen most who use any form of mind altering substance regularly set off overwhelming cravings which do not give them the power of choice and to put it bluntly, are hopeless without help.
Anyway, Codeine causes more pain than pain relief if not used for short term use or long term till death circumstances, so just fuck it off. Not worth it guys.
I feel for you brother. I know your pain!
aye up m8, idid reply to your message earlier!
yep in my experience codeine is not a goodun. my mate just passed away they found cke and codeine in his system. he used to take shit loads of codeine. he made it himself he cooked up the lot but had no self control and at 36! his heart said fuk this! he was a bobby wealer and thought he was invincible but ..well you are until you dont wake up! but theres somefin about codeine its one of those drugs i just dont ….trust like its got an agenda lol
oh just a quicky i know u said no more opiates but valium in decreasing amounts helps you off it a lot!
Did the forum split turn PV into smack heads?
Hope you did stick by yours words know_hope, that shit will make you depressed and weak. Some people look down on heroin yet from my experience, morphine, heroin, codeine, dhc, hydrocodone, oxycodone, oxymorphone etc… They’re the same drug, really no different at all. When I popped enough codeine I got the same high as when I smoked a load of heroin.
Nuff o’that filth hombres, tis all about broccoli for me these days.

im out. i felt really sick, weak and stupid for quite a while after that. i have taken them a couple of times when i’ve been drunk, but been strict otherwise. felt like this was one to err nip in the bud before it got out of hand. there are more enjoyable, less dangerous drugs. choose life, lol (>’-‘)>
