mid 2000s; when the first generation of RC’s (2C-* type substances) were once readily available over the clear net; they tended to come from Canada as they weren’t illegal there (and weren’t illegal in the UK until around 2005 following people getting greedy with them)

Did they not turn up amongst the traditional rave/party drugs (MDMA etc) in your region? They were still around in about 2007 even after they went class A and I had moved to a different part of England…

Not to me they weren’t GL. I didn’t even take MDMA for the 1st time until 31/12/1999 and for 5/6 years after that I hadn’t been online. Research chemicals I 1st saw as mephedrone.

hmm – might have been more of a Southern thing; I was living much closer to London then. Had forgotten that much of the rest of the UK didn’t have broadband until the mid 2000s; mind you when I started at my current job and moved to Ipswich the office only had two PCs and a dial up broadband connection; now pretty much everything is online.

I vaguely remember that the 2C* stuff initially came from a dude who wasn’t even a “dealer” as such; he was into making robots etc and regularly bought legitimate (if unusual) items from Canada such as machine tools and computer/electronics components. He also purchased supplies of far harsher industrial chemicals which are perfectly legal and safe to import with correct labelling and are used in metalwork and electronics assembly.

the RC’s were initially a sideline and traded at cost so the customs/douane didn’t bother checking for these.

RC’S are NOTHING NEW AT ALL. DOM was sceduled before LSD. 2c’s floated through the haight and well everywhere. People were concerned about…. fun, experience, they didint care if something was natural, synthetic, semi-synthetic; it was a big world with nothing but new things to learn, see. Its still true, we just…. are pussies (hahah jking but yea I can barley count the amountbof phens iv done, let alone tryps psychd stims and dissacoiatives. I also, though all I do now is blow glass, I have 2 BA’S (Latin and Ancient Greek, ma in Library scieneces/ archival cert….. dont fear these gifts, these experiences, thesechems; onlyYOU maks yourself dull, no drugs fault, you can be spry and on the fly having fun + learning♥

Many of what are now banned research chemicals are not covered by the UN convention on drugs so there is plenty of room for confusion on what is and isn’t an RC and depending where you a5re in the world complicates it further.

What’s a research chemical? I’m actually tryin to find a vendor of a legal high called PV?
My friend had a few people interested in it so thought I’d try one of these forums! Totally new to all of these types of things wish it was as easy as it gettin a bag of weed at ur door step??

Oh god.

A research chemical or Novel Psychoactive Substance is basically a drug that hasn’t been banned yet so in that respect every drug that is now illegal was previously a legal chemical. Research chemical is used so these aren’t blatantly sold as drugs.

As far as I know there’s no drug called PV but there are several that have pv in the name and if you and your friends wanna live more than a short life you better start doing some research.
