In Germany you can get both; and still have a clear conscience as the Mädchen in the Biergarten will be paid at least the national minimum wage, well treated and prevented from harrassment/unsafe situations; although given that many are near 2m tall and can comfortably carry entire “rounds” of full steins which are about 6 kilos in each hand so I expect they are quite capable of standing up for themselves 😉
the only two decent things I could see there are the ferromagnetic fluid and the glowing drinks coasters (I could use them in my studio/workshop at night time if I’ve not got the full lighting on; and hopefully avoid upsetting my drink on the bench)
