gabba is a unique genre and way faster than trance; and TBH these days I as much into the slower more housey sub genres of trance (often known as progressive house) as the faster ones.
by European standards trance is almost mainstream pop music in some countries although those artists try to distance themselves from the drugs/hedonism side to some extent.
