Popstar, electro/tecnho poineer and icon Felix Da Housecat jets into town to play an exclusive show at Turnmills on Saturday 31st July marking the launch of Rocket Ride from his new album ‘Devin Dazzle and the Neon Fever”. Now a worldwide star Felix’s work features heavily in P Diddy’s highly anticipated house album alongside a series of high profile remixes’ This is Felix’s first return to London this year marking the launch of Rocket Ride and is long overdue.
Emerging from the second generation of house music that came out of Chicago in the early to mid nineties. Always renowned for blending house and techno, it was only in 2001 when Felix enveloped electro, underpinning what has now become Felix’s sound, a sound that reinvented house and changed development and recognition of Europe’s thriving electro scene. Following Felix’s last offering, Kittenz and thee Glitz, Felix’s latest incarnation, Delvin Dazzle, sees’ him assimilate a blend of eccentric nouvo-pop, rock infused synthetically modified dance music delivered with Felix’s unique quirky style. Support in the main room is provided by all over my face and Secretsundaze resident Giles Smith with and Freelance Hellraiser. In T2 Brighton house night Stompaphunk go head to head with Music for Freaks for a Boompty Boomp laden sound clash.
