Saturday, February 11th, 2006, Implosion, now monthly @ Brixton’s George IV, returns with a fast-developing reputation, within London’s psy-trance community, as a multidimensional and refreshingly-friendly party experience. It’s crowd and dj line-ups providing sunshine and warmth whilst truly reflecting the diversity, of audience and artist, that bonds this scene.
Guest djs this month, alongside residents Jay OM and Bedouin, include, from Israel, Rizo (Dark Soho, BNE, Alchemy Recs.), London-based Brazilian, experimental-psy fave, Carlos Santan (Wildthings Recs.), Toxigen, Evil Twins (Free-Spirit Recs.) and Zeus (Roots, Point Zero Recs.), from South Africa. With a flouro market, performers, as well as the George’s relaxed and tolerant, Brixton vibe, all infected by the Implosion crew’s joy, ensuring there’s an outdoor freedom, indoors.
Dancing on the dance floor, you close your eyes, the music is making your whole body vibrate with a delicious energy, feeling the beats deep within, the energy of the rhythm lightens your spirit and a smile forms in the pit of your soul, it’s warming you, moving its way up then erupting to light up your face. Your body begins to sway…you’ve imploded, again.
