After an absence of 3 months MOF will be kicking off our 2006 in the unfamiliar surroundings of Oldham Streets Mint Lounge. After ending our brief residency at Po Na Na we are now focusing on providing a wider variety of nights at different venues around the city as one off occasions. This will be the first in a series of gigs and clubnights throughout April and it’s certainly not one to be missed.

If you didn’t catch them last year now is your chance to make it up to yourself. Featuring members of amongst others, Cinematic Orchestra, One Self, Rae & Christian and Aims live band they more than equal the sum of their parts. Fingers crossed they will have a limited edition 7″ single you can get your hands at the gig.

Residents at their own night “The Pinch” Moth Hi-Fi play their own brand of electronica, beautifully mixing synthesised sounds and samples with live instruments. Will be a real treat.

Absent Minds are musically a very different prospect to the other two artists but this local duo will bring a party atmosphere with them and their fresh insightful live hip hop show is not one you will ignore.
In the lounge we will have audio visual entertainment from the SHIPS AND LANTERNS crowd, as well as DJ sets from TOM CRISTAVAO (Sony Botox, The Pinch), and SOME OTHER GUY (Mind on Fire). We will also have an arts installation , aswell as an arts and crafts stall ran by local artists.
