On SJ there were several threads linked to news articles allegiing that French dealers were cutting open live dogs to retrieve packages of drugs the dogs had been made to swallow and a number of dead dogs were retrieved from the site.
A similar rumour was published after the 2005 teknival.

I don’t have time to translate the entire content but the SPA state that they did find 5 lost dogs with ID tattoos – very much alive and well – a far more positive thing as their owners can now be traced and arrangements made to reunite them with their pets!
It just shows how easy it is to demonise a minority though via the media and rumour spreading…
