Hmmmm…..how could anything go wrong
An internal investigation at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has found that civil servants are colluding with organised criminals to steal personal identities on “an industrial scale”
For those opposed to id cards….
I reckon the govt is using the “anti-social behaviour” laws to bring them in by stealth at least for younger people – or people like me who are older but young looking (like most people who have SE Asian ancestry I am fairly short and we don’t often show signs of ageing until we are well into our 40s!).
This is of course cool in other respects (its probably why I still behave like a youth such as still being into raves at this sort of age) but it does mean that nowadays you are constantly being asked for photo ID (which I do not have as I don’t drive and my passport ran out 2 years ago)
I might even need to get one of those poxy “prove it” cards or whatever they are called
but this (coupled with dispersal zones and random stop checks) really does seem like a way of getting young people used to carrying ID about with them….
