I have been looking at some of the Teknival movies.
Very impressed with the size of the sound systems.
Alot of them look very professional, how do they afford to run them?
I take it that most of the Teknival’s are free parties.
One thing though, there does not seem to be a lot of people in the footage.
Is this because they are not fully running or maybe it is the morning after?
people set aside cash from their normal day jobs to buy them.
the rigs are actually owned by several different groups of people who pool resources when required to create the big link ups.
they are ofren also hired out for licensed events.
its the morning after. shooting video (as you no doubt realise) requires decent light levels. So people often wait until the morning when shooting videos, as it is too dark otherwise unless there are lots of lighting effects in an enclosed building such as a warehouse.

Cool!
That makes sense, just a little confussed thinking people had gone to all that effort for a very little turnout.
