spent a hot cool weekend on makeshift dancefloor on a farm in Devon :horay:
heard some pretty good live sets plus a couple of bands playing psychadelic folk & roll, or was that dub and bass? or was it acid country disco? :alien_abd
whatever it was, it was good to hear live :bigsmile:
got a chance to catch up with some very good friends i don’t see often enough, cemented some recent friendships and made some brand new ones 😉
the rig performed well and after a few minor alterations on the hop it handled the techno, electro / techno, DnB, breaks excellently :angel:
was especially good cos we had our daughter with us. she loves loud basslines and dancing.
she didn’t make a fuss at all about her earplugs going in before she was allowed near the rig and she slept peacefully plenty when she needed to:cloud9:
and she danced to my reggae breakfast set (best father’s day present i could have asked for)
didn’t get to take the long walk around the farm in the morning as we were running out of food and supplies for our little one (and champagne and cake for ourselves).. but the short walk was mind-blowing
loved watching the low hills emerge through the mist… and found about 20 different types of plant growing that you wouldn’t normally expect to see growing in this country :surprised
got back to the city and ended up dancing salsa with a large straw hat on my head and massive old lady style sunglasses on in a packed square in town for the afternoon
all on a couple cups of coffee, a couple of beers and a possibly suspect cigarette. and some cake.
