Anyone elses comp failing in the Heat? starting yesterday mine beeps like crazy (processor overheat alarm) then crashes.Sat here now with a hoover pipe shoved in the back and hoover switched on.Noisy as fuck but seems to be working.
Betta watch out Good Dog! Someone might tell us to get off our arses and find summat betta to do:groucho: :groucho:
I’ve just took my CPU out of the fridge. It was in there for an hour:crazy:
BTW have you got the hoover on suck or blow. And don’t 4get hoovers get overheated as well:wink:
Yup mine has been doing that my room is sooooo hot.. i’ve taken the sides of my case and i have a desk fan blowing straight into it….
Works now… hasn’t crashed at all… :weee:
Coulnt stand the noise much more.So followed AFs advice,working nicely FTTB.
Think I will invest in a couple of extra case fans tommorow see if that helps.
To be honest extra case fans can do more harm than good as they take up more space preventing air from flowing properly around it..
It’s just down to the weather and the fact that we ain’t got aircon in our homes to regulate the temp….
Thankfor that.:wink::wink::wink:
when the weather is this hot whats better than being indoors chatting to you lot 😉
Went for a twenty mile bike ride yesterday and I swear it nearly killed me,Toooooo Hot!
planning to go for a massive frisbee match in a bit… take the heat like a good dog 😉

if its ok in normal weather just do as you are doing in the intense heat and you should be fine
the extra case fans will not only disrupt the air flow of the case but will also generate extra heat!!!and use power from the PSU which will make the problem worse and your case will sound like an airplane preparing for takeoff:hopeless:
one of my pet hates is folks who have loads of case fans in the box – probably because of the number of times we have been asked to work out what is wrong with the machine as it overheats/crashes [muppets did not get a bigger PSU to go with the extra fans and have created loads of turbulence inside the case which is merely recirculating the hot air not getting rid of any of it:you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy]
I have one of these:
…and despite it being a nightmare and a half to route cables it makes the temp stays at such a nice level (with the aid of 3 120mmm fans) that it’s like putting your hand in a fridge.
