Easy guys. After the success of the last Stomp, we’re doing another one on the 10th:
This is not your usual old skool/ jungle/ hardcore night. Disappointment with the modern music scene has meant that over the last few years there has been a number of people producing tunes in the styles of music that really meant something to them, and often was the reason that they started djing/producing in the first place. This has lead to the production of loads of new tunes, with the same style and energy that excited so many people in the early nineties.
As a result of this, new scenes are slowly emerging that pay homage to these styles, but embrace the last 15 years of new sounds and production techniques. In the UK, Hardcore Breakz has taken the sounds of 92 old skool and updated them for 2006. Not in a tired ‘take an overused sample and stick some different breakbeats under it’ way that a lot of breakz producers are guilty of; but new tunes using new samples and embracing the unlimited resources provided by the years of music that have come before.
In the same vein in Canada and Northern America there is a huge Ragga-Jungle scene giving respect to the original jungle sounds of 93-95. With a fusion of reggae, jungle and breakcore this stuff is wicked!!!
Finally in a retaliation to the cheesy, trancy hardcore that has ruled hardcore raves since 2000, a few producers, led by Luna-C and the Kniteforce label, have re-embraced breakbeats and created new hardcore in the style of 93/94 breakbeat hardcore; i.e. the good stuff before it went all cheesy and shit!
So basically, the idea for this night is to showcase all these new styles, as well as all the original tunes that made us love them in the first place. With a set of classics followed by a set of brand new tunage, hopefully this night will be phat as fuck!

10-11: Harry (Coalition) Hardcore Breakz
11-12: DJ Durban (Assassin) Classic jungle
12-1: Redeye (Brains Kan) Ragga-Jungle
1-2: DJ Random (Brains Kan) Classic 93 Hardcore
2-3: Mr Binge (BnG) New Breakbeat Hardcore
