  • sorry to be so vastly rude but i need to send miss bassetts some of me tuna via email but it wont do it cos the files are too large. it says it wont do anything over 16mb an i 5 tunes all around 30-40. can you help?
sorry again for being a chat interupter 3000! need to do it soon as!

I’ve split the thread as it worth having a seperate thread for this discussion….

I get the impression that they are high bitrate tunes for that sort of file size – reduce the bitrate maybe?

otherwise if you don’t want to share them with everybody (and upload them here) and don’t want to set up an FTP server area between the two of you then it might be easier to copy them on to a CD and send them in the post tomorrow… they should arrive there the next day…

Ogga – I will move this thread into the “music” subforum later (you may get another robot message)

Bit of a plug mate but you can host them on http://www.infexious.net and then link to them…any member of the forum can upload and anyone can directly download without having to sign up.

If not try a site like megaupload.com where you can temporarily host larger files….they have a lot of annoying adverts before you can download though.

I’ve just used the MSN file transfer in the past, the recipient does have to be online at the time though

    Yeah, use megaupload or yousendit.com

Like GL said, they seem rather hefty in size. They are either very high bitrate mp3 (or ogg vorbis etc) or they are WAV files. At 160kbps a 7 minute tune should be about 8mb I reckon.

you could use http://www.megaupload.com, upload the file there and then your friend could download it.

    nah no worries, folks!
much thanks indeed for all of your kind suggestions but i sent ’em in the post ages ago!
(talk about going out the call of duty!)
    safe though:wink:
oh and if you all can group together and suggest some ways of making work, getting out of bed, getting to free parties and saving money easier…i’m all ears:laugh_at::weee:!
    again, safe!
    og
