I did this to mine. I looked in to it and it’s fairly straight forward ro replace your screen yourself as long as you feel competent with computer parts and basic electronics. This will no doubt void the warranty though (if you have one).
If you can find out what the model number of the LCD screen is then you can look for a replacement on computer parts websites.
I managed to find one that matched the spec exactly but wasn’t the official screen so it came cheaper despite stating that the quality was the same.
As it happened I just used my home contents insurance to cover it but this meant I had to send it away rather than fix it myself and I stil had to pay the first £100.
If you get it replaced by a shop then expect it to be about £300
If you can do it yourself then it might be around £200
