March will see Tronic have their busiest month yet, with a weekend double header of live electronic music on the 16th & 17th. We join forces with ‘New Found Sound’ for a night of live eclectic electronic in the uber-cool ‘City Cafe’ venue.
NFS have been tirelessly promoting un-signed and fresh Scottish music for some time, winning many friends along the way and giving new artists the chance to be noticed. A unique live music promotions collective whose sole aim is to bring together in one place, all the best bands and artists from all genres and styles. Always showcasing new sounds – we are excited to be helping out with night and adding a touch of Tronic to the live proceedings – bringing a slightly harder edge to the nights sounds. Expect a battle of beats and cutting edge electronica..

ACIDFAIRY, SATELLITE DUB, OHHH!!!, FUNKSPIEL, BABYSHAKER & THE REMEDIES
Babyshaker – After raising more than a few eyebrows last year playing for Tronic, we were keen to ask this baby shaking breaks boy back to strut his stuff in the capital. Wicked breaks and plunging beats, IDM is pushed to its limits. Catch him live in the cozy city café with his wooly hat on!
Ohhh!!! – Quite the eccentric of experimental electronica, Ohhh!!! samples and cuts up anything and everything from 90’s pop to heavy metal and when engineered on his laptop, forms one almighty jazzed up glitchcore frenzy. Stroke your chin, nod you head or go pure mental, whatever you do, just catch him live!
Acidfairy – Top DJ, even better live act, this talented producer has taken time out from kicking off one of Glasgow’s newest techno nights ‘F.O.O.D’, as well as running her own radio station, to slam some beats for Tronic East. Old school acid with new school techno, we are expecting the night with Acidfairy at the controls – to end with a bang.
Satellite Dub – The man from space with a smile on his face and well known to those behind NFS and Tronic. With such a big night of live electronica hitting Edinburgh, the Dub man had to be included and will undoubtedly steam through a set of chemical style beats, producing an electronic rhythmic assault that will send you into orbit!
The Remedies – A modern hip hop band that are old school influenced, yet completely fresh and original in their bass heavy sound. Having had loads of Radio air play last year (BBC1 Xtra & BBC Scotland) they have generated an impressive army of funk followers so don’t be fooled, Edinburgh has a hip hop scene, check it oot!
Funkspiel – Are putting the F back in fun and funk! The electro duo love a good jam and can often be found gigging in and around Edinburgh, blending acoustic with electronic synths and laying out one melodic groove. The band will be complete with vocalist on the night – tasty stuff to get your groove on.
Doors will be 8:00pm and entry on night is £5.50.
