Hey all, I’m heading to the Dam this weekend and could do with some info. If I were to bring a box of shrooms back over with me, nothing too much, what would customs do if they discovered it? Would they
a) slap me on the wrist and give me a fine
b) send me to a Bangkok prison to live off a diet of cockroaches and rice for 60 years… or something near equivalent
If the answer is ‘b’ people then fear not – I’ll simply stuff them in the bag of the chick I’m flying with, mwahahaha….
Cheers for anything you can muster up!
get the overnight boat from hook of holland to harwich, been over twice now and both times there hasn’t been any customs or passport control we cud have walked through with a big bag of grass (maybe coz its 4 in the morn when we got off the boat)
legally its class A, stictly speaking no different from heroin…n if you (they) look at it like that, the relatively large amount you need to bring in to get a hit means that you’ll be carrying what could be described as a large quantity of a class A substance.
Even an ounce or so, which is nothing in terms of fresh mushrooms, getting caught with an ounce of Class A has got to be pretty serious – and pretty ironic too since that ounce of fresh mushies will be 90% water!
You can purchase shroom spore kits and have them legally shipped to the UK. I don’t want to promote a company that l have never used so no URL, sorry. I’m not even sure how to use spore kits.
I will say though: When it used to be legal to buy grow kits (not spore kits) in the UK (apparently it became illegal in 2004?), l grew about 2 Kg of Cuban psilocybin mushrooms (Stropharia cubensis or whatnot). It was a wonderful harvest marred only by an Aztec demon stalking me during my trips towards the end of my summer-long feast on the batch (never a good development!).
2 Kg for about £30 expenses inc. P&P wasn’t bad. Better than hiding the stuff in your sports bag on a ferry! Cheaper too l should imagine.

Was this easy to do? i have been eyeing up these spore kits to have a go,
have a search on the internet, you will find sites like Potseeds, legal highs, everyone does it will be able to help you along.
I was looking a a site (cant remember which one) that had instructions to view before you bought them to see if it was ‘too hard’. they also did combo packs of mushroom bags (to grow them in) and spores in a syringe.
:bounce_fl
Anyone grown them froma kit as i want to try but would like to hear from someone who has done it…………
I dunno how to use a spore kit.
There’s all this stuff on Google about how to do it of course, but l used a grow kit, not a spore kit. Unfortunately, Blair’s banned them, or so the guys at King Bong in Bournemouth say. They sold me some really good grow kits in the past!
I left the grow kits on the window shelf until the white furry stuff started to coat the surface. It took about 2 or 3 days and that meant the grow kit was ready to grow.
I had to buy some thin bleach, dilute it down with water, put it in a enmpty plastic window-cleaning spray bottle.
Then l made a cube using 2 or 3 or 4 metal coathangers (give the triangle a twist, it becomes a square, sellotape the metal squares together, you get a cube).
Then l fit the cube frame into a massive Argos store carrier bag. I got a plastic bowl and a metal tray. I fit the cube inside the big Argos bag, and used sellotape to secure the cubic frame to the bag (was a bit tricky).
Then l got a bowl and a metal tray.
I filled the bowl with boiling water, and stuck the metal tray completely over it. Voila, a home-made heating mat.
I then placed the grow-kit box atop the tray.
I then placed the cubic frame/plastic carrier bag tent over the whole setup to create a warm, humid atmosphere for the grow kit.
I occasionally had to replace the water with freshly heated water, about every 6 hours in the day (i.e. about 3 times a day).
I sprayed the grow kit with my watered-down thin chlorine bleach to keep the grow kit aseptic, so that only the intended mushrooms would grow and no toxic black stuff. I did this about once or twice a day l think (instructions were given with the grow kit of course).
10-14 days later l had a batch of shrooms! I picked a few off and tripped my head off. The shrooms kept growing, as if the grow kit were a bottomless cornucopia, the more l picked off, the more that grew to replace their fallen comrades, to the extent that l got about 1 Kg from 1 grow kit. I think l had 2 grow-kits on one tray.
I didn’t know how to dry them properly so l ended up with an excess that got damaged and l don’t think sticking the excess thereafter into a bottle of vodka helped much.
If you see the Aztec demon (the mushrooms were Mexican species) then give him a whack round the back of the head like he gave me one. It sent me sprawling onto my bed 🙁
I saw all these patterns as well, typical of Mayan/Aztec art, you know, all twisty and convoluted. I wonder how much the culture was influenced by psilocybin! I’m sure there’s been way too much discussion on that topic on the net, but all l’m saying is that l never had any grand notions of Mexican deities and ethnography etc. before l took the shrooms, but after l took them, everything was just like the carvings on a Mexican temple. It was unplanned, but so telling of Ancient Mesoamerican culture.
Sorry ppl, l have to confess that it wasn’t me that experimented with mushrooms, it was a friend. I like to pretend it was me as l am that sad.
bad man, llloooolllzz
peas
Peas
frozen are the best, they lock in the sweetness when frozen, if not the sugars break down inside the pea, something like 65% in the first 6 hours
That’s bizarre. You mean there are enzymes or something which break down a plucked pea’s sugars at room temperature and pressure? Or do the sugars just get oxidised? Lower temperatures could conceivably slow both down.
Thing is, if it’s enzymes degrading the sugars… then a fresh pea milkshake would help ppl keep their weight down, think about it!!!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Dont risk it!!! Heathrow is not an airport to risk… i have worked in the travel business for 9 years now and it is well known that LHR is strong security wise!!
Any other airport maybe but coming from AMS they will be looking harder for things being brought in!
Used to work at an airport and they do look when coming from somewhere like that! Security is so much more strict!! Honestly not worth it!!
Data on hydrolytic changes in the lipids of unblanched (enzymatically active) peas in the range –5 to –20°C are presented. The Q10 value for the formation of free fatty acids between these temperatures is about 2.5. The corresponding value for development of off-flavor is about 3.0. Both values are considerably lower than those typical for deteriorative non-enzymatic reactions in blanched vegetables.
Gas chromatographic analysis of the free fatty acid fraction demonstrates further that there is an apparent preference for hydrolysis of polyunsaturated acids. This tendency is especially evident in the lower part of the temperature range studied. A corresponding increase of the proportion of saturated acids in the unhydrolyzed fat can be shown. No net change of any single acid in the combined lipid fractions is observed, except for linoleic and linolenic acids, which decrease somewhat after long storage at the higher temperatures. This indicates a substantial breakdown into smaller molecules.
this is what i found. if u can try and work out what it means, theres the answer. i think it means what i said above but cannoy be sure
