It has been suggested before but foundered at the where to hold it stage…so many members and widely dispersed….and we would need a big venue, etc etc

in the middle of the country, so everyone can easily get there, would need to sleep somewhere. i spose the venue is the main thing.

feel free to do some spade work – I live in Scotland which doesnt help much in the search for a suitable venue in England…

The venue issue was where I got stumped – the logistics of running a party like this needs a really good venue and possibly overnight accomodation may be required if at all possible…:wink:

Somewhere to sleep?????
People seem to be able to get back from free partys ok without sleep!!
I know its not really advisable but it is done on a regular basis!!!!!
London would probally be the best the place as it is pretty much the easiest place for people to get to (public transport ect).
All that is needed is a large venue where music can be played till late 5am maybe!!!!

London may seem best to you but bear in mind the Scots crew will have to travel between 2 and 4 hours just to reach Carlisle….. Its 2 1/2 hours drive to the border from my front door

To me the midlands or northern parts of England seem more accessible and are still on public transport routes

and yes somewhere to sleep as I assume you aint planning to run the party and would expect someone to? they will require accomodation to get this project offf the ground as they will likely spend all day preparing the venue and all night working to keep the party on track….

FYI After Carlisle there are still 400 miles left to cover for those of us who live in Scotland and I can no longer cover this kind of distance non-stop driving [getting old :laugh_at:] so it will take me over 7 hours to do this leaving me in no condition to attend a party….

what about amsterdam?

or santiago, chile?

or istanbul?

or stockholm. there is a slight chance of a tried and tested leagal beach venue for this in the city centre… no. really

but if anyone has other ideas, feel free to add them

Ok, I have an idea now I no it might be a little far fetched but don’t they have a big festival at Leeds and Reading. So when this festival is not on that land is free ????????

Leeds seems pretty central. I would come up from London. It would take some organizing but this is how Glastonbury started. 😉

Also the people who live in other countries could organize something in there own county. I.E when I get back to Thailand.
So there would be a big one in England and little small ones in other countrys. Or is this point to have one huge big one.
In fact I guess it is if your going to rent the land at Leeds and reading so I’ll stop rattling on with my nonsense.
I don’t know but I think my idea is o.k 😉

Leeds is prob the most central major city geographically and has transport links both North and South so that’d seem a winner to me.

Ok its northern England and centre of England would prob be more like Birmingham but taking into account Scotland then Leeds would seem the most central choice.
