this is a horrendous leak of info, rig names and all sorts there

the annoying thing is that this is happening because we and even SJ are clamping down, the kids are just setting up bebo sites as they think there is “more free speech”

that is definetely beyond our field of influence :hopeless: unless we want to create an account and tell them not to?

TBH its hard to persuade some younger folks that they are going to get themselves or others into trouble – its that youth immortality thing so many have going on [it will never happen to me…]

The crews are going to have to handle these problems themselves at some point – dropping the loud mouths off the list of contacts would be favourite. They need to explain to these kids why they dont want their names on the web…younger ravers often dont think/realise about the fact that the parties are frowned on = authorities wanting to bust organisers…

It is still possible to have discreet and very low impact parties up here [the blabbers get excluded as soon as we find out…] and though the police turned up at the last one we did with other rigs, they were fine when they realised we were normal human beings and were going to be gone and cleaned up before night time. [they did try several times to persuade me to admit I was the key organiser though :laugh_at:which I did not as I wasnt for a change ]

I think some of the SJ’ers are warning them and I know some of the younger lot round here who may have bebo accounts..

its already a sticky, and TBH our users are sensible enough; this kind of advice needs to be given “at street level” by the teenagers themselves.

A lot of the kids on the Web 2.0 places think that “lack of enforcement” is the same as acceptance of their lifestyles and it is gonna take people actually getting doors knocked off the hinges before they realise what the score really is.

On a positive (sort of) note, the ravers who are from Suffolk and Essex are increasingly warning their friends across the Waveney not to be daft on-line, but it has taken two counties locked down to make people think..

This is another instance (in SW England) bebo being used to monitor peoples level of drug use

I suspect as mentioned in the “drug conspiracy theory” thread that ketamine is being “tolerated” to an extent in order to edge out MDMA as the diminishing returns actually make kids give up raving and conform quicker.

It (K) has really done in the organisational skills and solidarity amongst ravers down this way and we are fighting a battle trying to get these skills and positivity back…

Someone sent them off to find me and they were very, very suprised to find me looking for them. Unless its a serious situation in which further action may be taken then I always like to give them a name and number so that if the place isn’t tidied up then they can get in touch. I doesn’t matter much to me anymore for the last 3 years I’ve been speaking to them at every thing we’ve done and they know me fairly well. They were totally sound with everything and we stayed til 9 at night. Got loads of wicked photos from that night although most of them are of our rig as it was its first outing. anyway I’m way off the point at hand.

I think I might pass that site on to some of the people I recognise from the photos don’t think they’ll appreciate it and its better they complain than us.

Also who the hell set this stack up, makes me feel ill just looking at it.

the cops in England (at least SE and some parts of Eastern England) used to have this “informal agreement” with some crews until people took the piss and raves became a dumbed down, willy waving contest and you get “suicide ravers” like old man Wizzard on the scene now (terminal cancer, probably full of benzos and opiates so his brain is mush)

I hate to say it but these days I can’t blame the feds (particularly those who use SJ and Bebo as “intelligence” sources) for increasingly thinking that ravers are selfish, vacous, sex-obsessed scum who don’t even really care about their own community, let alone others or the environment and will only see sense if its beaten into them with a baton…

I reckon they even use printouts from bebo and SJ (maybe even here as well but to a lesser extent) to psyche up the cops to deal “robustly” with raves…

I always get sent to speak to the boys in uniform as apparently you cant tell if I am wasted unless you know me really well :laugh_at::laugh_at::laugh_at: plus the being female throws them off slightly if they are having a testosterone laden moment :groucho: IMO you should make a point of intercepting them if possible but they were heading off in your direction ER by the time I had pulled myself together [about 2 mins] from the wasted mess I was at the point I spotted them….was waiting for them when they came back though :obey: Think they enjoyed their afternoon walk :weee: They were asking all kinds of techy questions about the equipment and how mixing was done etc etc I even offered them a shot of the decks 😉

I thought it was class that they tried to get me to admit to organising the whole thing the first time I dont :biggreen: Great site by the way ER – first class :bigsmile:

we totally failed to take any pics of our stuff – too busy tuning the rig and then the live set up properly :laugh_at:I am told it sounded/looked amazing but so far no pictures have been forthcoming :groucho:

a lot of people in crews (not on here though) are so dumbed down they lack any concepts of basic scientific or engineering principles (or don’t want to learn them), hence why a lot of rigs sound shit when they do often actually have decent equipment in them…

Same here….well actually we bought the mid tops but someone built them for us. The rest we built ourselves. We only finished wiring one of the hds in the van while loading the rest of the rig….had to run an extension cable out of the window. Ours looks lush though :groucho:…though I am slightly biased. We have another two mid tops built and the cash for another 4 hds were just waiting til I finish my exams to build them. Next time were gona take the X1s instead of the scoops though. (Again getting distarcted)
