so what does it all mean now that the SNP are the largest party in Scotland? I saw on the news today they have formed a deal with the Greens which sounds good, but interested to know what all the Scots on here think..

SNP are also sometimes referred to as the scottish nuisance party ….

Not sure a party which has as its major contributor Brian Souter has any credibility [he is a discriminating nasty piece of work :yakk:] but we are stuck with them so lets wait and see :groucho:

I agree with raj’s analogy of the acronym SNP…

Means that in 2010 we will have a referendum on indepence….

People that keep going on about ahhh we have the oil etc in Scotland need to wake up.. we don’t…. half of it isn’t even in our waters and it doesn’t belong to us anymore it was sold to Shell BP etc..

The SNP are also saying that they will scrap the plans for the Tram system in Edinburgh… ????? Why.. Edinburgh needs the trams, the congestion in the city is getting worse and worse… Maybe the greens will be able to make them see sense as environmentally the Trams will be far better than all the cars and buses that are on the roads..
