  • Looks like the magic has run out for someone…

if he gets breached for this he will end up in the can (random fact: Norwich Prison has a special wing for OAPs!!!)

    26 May 2007 08:59

A 63-year-old man was made the subject of an interim anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) by Yarmouth magistrates yesterday preventing him from either organising or participating in illegal raves.

The joint application against Christopher Farrow, of Hitchin, was made by North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk police.

The application came in the wake of a rave that took place at Horsey Gap, owned by the National Trust, over the weekend of May 5-7 involving about 1,000 people.

Hilary Nelson, portfolio holder for tourism and with responsibility for community safety for North Norfolk District Council said: “I hope that the decision by the magistrates will send a clear message to all those involved in such activities and make it very clear that they will not be tolerated.”

It comes as police in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex urged local landowners to remain vigilant over the Bank Holiday weekend and report any attempts to enter property by people who may be intent on holding a rave. A full hearing will take place on June 5.

yep – it is. TBH we protected him as much as we could on here as I don’t like seeing forums used to bait up/grass people – but by his own actions he’s now made his name public knowledge and had his day in Court…

Old man funk – LMFAO :laugh_at:

respect to anyone still puttin on raves at that age raaa

gutted for the fella tho :hopeless:

does this meen that there parties arent gunna carrie on no more? rather enjoyed theres 😥

TBH I feel slightly sorry for him as he’s the same age my Dad would have been were he still alive today – but the way he’s done parties over the years hasn’t exactly helped out the “scene”, particularly going into other areas without local knowledge, and leaving a mess.

OTOH he has helped people out in the past.

If he’s got any brain in his head he’ll sell that rig (or whats left of it) to some other crew and let them carry on..

Illegal Raves – Interim Anti-Social Behaviour Issued

    May 29 2007

Magistrates at Great Yarmouth granted an Interim Application today (May 25) for an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) against Christopher Farrow, aged 63, of Hitchin, in relation to organising and performing at illegal raves in the county.

The application followed a disruptive rave that took place at Horsey Gap, owned by the National Trust, over the weekend of 5 – 7 May. The illegal event involved around 1000 people and 300 – 400 vehicles, leaving behind a costly trail of damage and litter over a wide area, including fire damage to a sensitive nature conservation site, drug paraphernalia and human excrement.

Hilary Nelson, Portfolio Holder for Tourism and with responsibility for Community Safety for North Norfolk District Council said: “This interim order shows that North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk Constabulary will take forceful action against such anti-social behaviour as this, be it by individuals or groups.
“I hope that the decision by the magistrates today will send a clear message to all those involved in such activities and make it very clear that they will not be tolerated.”

Chief Superintendent Charlie Hall said: “We have worked closely with North Norfolk District Council in applying for this ASBO.
“This is a preventative measure which underlines our determination to deal with those involved in organising these anti-social events.”

    Note

This has been a joint partnership approach by North Norfolk Dicstrict Council and Norfolk Constabulary and supported by a number of agencies. A full hearing will be heard at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 5.

Farrow has been served with the notice today and therefore failure to comply with the conditions in the interim ASBO can lead to his arrest.

The interim ASBO prevents Farrow from having any association with the rave scene within the county of Norfolk and is the first of its kind for the county.
