The BBC’s Andy Tighe said the timing was significant coming a day after Gordon Brown became prime minister

I was born in London and lived there for many years – there have always been bombs since I was a little child, :hopeless: at age 5-6 when going on the trains or the Underground with my family I remember there was always a warning poster saying “BOMBS – BE ALERT”.
Yeah i remember seeing them when i lived just outside London. I can remember being on the underground and having to get off at different stops and getting home alternative ways as there were bomb scares at stations.
You still see signs along them lines in stations and stuff nowadays :crazy_diz
this is just crazy ur right, ahh well i kinda thank the police for being so good at their job, sometimes
:you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy
Was very lucky it didn’t go off :hopeless:
Lot of people would have been hurt or killed :hopeless:
A car bomb planted in central London would have caused “carnage” if it had exploded, police sources have said.
A controlled explosion was carried out on the car, packed with 60 litres of petrol, gas cylinders and nails, in Haymarket, near Piccadilly Circus.
just think tho
as a result there was possibly a free party running smoothly somewhere else because they were too busy to attend
They seem to want to blow anyone up that they disagree with really, then again hasn’t there been problems with other ‘gay pride’ marches in other parts of the world?
I am sure i read about some bloke attempting to blow up a march the other day. :you_crazy
Tossers
:bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_fl
theres a bunch of fukd up people out there big time makes me sik!!!i like wot spark plug said tho!!!glad ob got there first!:you_crazy
it’s a horrible thought to imagine if it had gone off, and probs to the police etc. for dealin with it…
although i fear it will be used as another incident to put more police on the street, give them more powers, more surveillance etc. use the state of fear to grip us down
i read a BBC news report about an electronic sniffer dogs the other day, quotin a police chief who said “the machine will help us in the fight against terrorism” then said it was programmed to detect drugs
terrorism used as an excuse to clampdown on all crime (however harmless) is gettin used so frequently. way to let the terrorists win :hopeless:
i’m glad they didn’t go off and kill / injure people
for those who dot know apparently the detonantor didnt go off they fled the car with all doors open and smoke coming out, apparently there was nails in it as well(strange for alkieda) could it be the northen ireland. and there were two found
Have to say I am waiting to find out a lot more about this before assigning blame to anyone – it could have been anyone :you_crazy
TBH terrorism doesn’t worry me any more than it did in the 1980s when I became old enough to know what it meant…
What does worry me far more is the level of casual violence amongst teenagers in “Londonistan” and the gang culture – something like 8 under 25’s stabbed/shot in one week last week..
