  • ez just wonderin if anyones had this before and got any ideas

my m8 bought some technics and had them posted royal mail, seems to be a slight problem with one of the tone arms. im just assumin its because of posting it royal mail because we had a simaler problem once after doin a party. basicly the tone arm was slighty loose which was causing the deck to skip, so i tightened the screw slightly on the top as this is what sorted it before.

but theres still a slight bit of skippin, its just about useable as long as your very delicate, its started to get on my tits tho now lol. im not sure but it seems to be like theres a slight bit of pressure pullin the arm away from the centre?

Trust Royal Mail to fuck up yet another persons stuff! That sucks Owlz man is the screw too tight you reckon? 😉

Go read the manual – it tells you how to align and set up the tone arm correctly [and therefore how to fix this] and remember to get the needle at exactly the correct weight as defined by the manufacturer as this can cause skipping too.
    😉

shhhh technic dont go wrong 😉

They do when Royal mail get their hands on em!

tbh its his fault for usin royal mail really, when he said to me £40 p&p for a pair of technics the first thing i thought is what a nutter, posting £450 worth of kit with no insurance, usin royal mail who often post my packages in my bush….

is no biggy to fix i dont think

here is a link for manuals for the 1210s

This is the homepage – it seems to have lots of potentially useful vinyl stuff :bounce_fl
