this is actually more common than you think, the fur is cleaned, made into felt/yarn and all species can contribute (including human hair)
loads of “hippy/craft” types do this, they get the fur/hair from live creatures that moult (often their own pets and livestock) and humans when they have haircuts
although I had visions of this getting out of control, hippies inviting everyone round for tea and giving loads of hash cakes and smoke so everyone eventually passes out, and then all the guests wake up completely bald :laugh_at:
