I’m trying to unlock (not unblock, it’s all legal!) a Sony Ericsson k608i which is currently on T-Mobile, I have searched for a free method, but can’t really find anything. Does anybody know of any sites that aren’t going to scam me? There’s loads offering their unlocking service, but apparently you need to be wary.
Or if anyone knows how to do it for free, that’d be even better.

if you go to the shop of the network that you want the phone to be on .. they might do it for free as they will be gaining custom .. or they might charge you like a fiver .. but it’s not that much really(mby phone them first to make sure they can legaly do it and it doesn’t have to be the company you got the phone from or any thing like that first) .. there are ways of doing it for free your self.. the guy i used to know who did all that shit has gone awol (not from the army .. i just never see him any more) …. so doubt i will be able to find out easily ..but i belive you need a special wire to link your phone to your pc .. and that probably cost quite a bit …
Try unlocking your phone through codes. It’s the simple and best and easiest way to unlock any mobiles. You can re-enter the codes again even if you entered it wrong since you have a certain number of attempts to enter the code. So its better to unlock mobiles using codes. You can get the codes from your service provider itself.
I didn’t realise how easy it is to unlock some phones until I did it a couple of months ago. Was literally a case of switching it on with no sim in it, entering a code (which takes 2 secs to find on google) and then entering the IMEI number printed on the label in the battery compartment. And the phone shop wanted a tenner off me to do this!

Must admit, has issues with the later phones – each phone has a different code, and the online services that take the IMEI code charge money for each code sent back in response to entering an IMEI. Hack boxes can do same thing with any code but again cost money.

Hai free unlock code service is not available for your mobile. Because your mobile model is new. So better you can go for paid unlocking service. I would suggest this site
Unlocking4u.com . I got unlock code from this site. It is a reliable unlock service site. Here you can get the unlock code and unlock your Sony Ericssion k608i. To get the code you need to specify which country is locked now, network provider and IMEI number. Then they send unlock code through email.
