  • Paying for so called broadband (wireless) that keeps cutting out!!!!

how far away are you from your router?

havent got a clue mate???:hopeless: im hopeless!! havent been connected for 2 years n that was dial up, this wireless is all new to me, feel like ive been out of the loop for way to long

ok, well how close are you to the box thing they gave you that connects into the broadband line?

ah the dongle thingy!! gotcha 😉 about 3ft

well distance from that isn’t the problem then.if you’ve only just had it set up then it can take a bit of time for the line to stablise itself, meaning you get a bit of a dodgy connection until it does so.

ahh ok, will try not to get too frustrated with it just yet then. Thanks mate x 😉

no problem.if the problem goes on for longer than a week though i’d ring up and give them an ear full.saying that, i have no patience for these things and even when iv been told that itl take a bit of time i still like to phone up and get on their case, makes me feel better and keeps them on their toes 😉

did you setup the connection on your own or was it done by someone from the ISP you signed up with?

how is your broadband delivered? via the ADSL (connected to a telephone cable with a filter for your normal telephone) or coax (the same cable used for cable TV?)

    yeah too right i will.
I set it up myself, followed the book step by step but to be honest there wasnt much to it, seemed simple enough?

whats the signal strength like when you ahve a connction?
