im gona be moving to norwich in a couple weeks as im enrolling to the art college on the 22nd and i can see myself getting very sick of the ‘student nights’
im more talking about legal nights than the inevitable norfolk raves.
i know amen-tal are based there and am well looking forward to their nights but is that the only jungle/breakcore soundsystem therabouts?
also judging from their myspace flyers and such they do stuff all over east anglia not necessarily regular in norwich.
im definatly gonna need some kind of reggae night to get my skank on as well.:bounce_ci
cheers for any help.

funnily enough, i’ve just started a reggae influenced predominantly breakcore/jungle sound system, so basically dubstep, jungle, ragga jungle and break/raggacore, with the main music being the last 2, and i live in Norfolk, near to Norwich.
I’m building up the system, but it’s gonna be a while as yet, as i got to get my head down for the next few months, but come next spring/summer i should be putting some nights on hopefully. It should be good mind as i might be releasing a record/album so can have a release event.
Btw for reggae, look out for Rebel Lion, Concrete roots, there is another reggae system but the name escapes me at the moment.
EDIT: i’ll hook you up with some mixes to see if you like the vibe. gimme a few days.
one foot skank?
ahh them as well, but i was thinking of roots renegade:love:
have seen the ones i’ve mentioned live…
rebel lion were good and concrete roots/roots renegade where well good. They got some live toaster man out in the crowd. so many white boys acting rude. was a great show, although i had to leave early.
You’re closer to the location of Bloc Weekend than most… yearly breakcore/techno/dubstep/d&b/experimental festival in great yarmouth.
should be a good one 😀

ello mate, i often go out to the nights in norwich.
theres a little book that is often bought out every month i think its called ”the venue” and it has details of everything going on every night, where, what and etc.
i always get myself one from the college as there going about, comes in handy =)
There’s quite a lot of reggae in Norwich, mainly at the Queen Charlotte, and I think the Bridge House. Amental still do nights, as has been mentioned – always used to be top notch, back when I were a lad.
Used to be a monthly night called Sin Technologies, which showcases industrial gabber, breakcore, speedcore etc – I’m unsure whether or not it still runs.
EZ Rollers have a monthly drum & bass night at Media.
Pick up a copy of Outline magazine, it has an events listing each month.
On the other side of things, Norwich has a great punk scene.
