Large protests from many factions planned for the labor party conference in Manchester this weekend. Stop the war Coalition, Manchester no borders, Manchester anarchist federation & Coalition Of The Left.

Go have Your say If your not doing other things. Dont stay in and do nothing or just waste your weekend.

Anti-war demonstration is staged

Protesters have packed the streets of Manchester city centre as part of a Stop The War demonstration.

More than 2,500 protesters marched from Cavendish Street to the Labour Party conference at Manchester Central where they handed in a petition.

The protesters were calling for troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mounted police and other officers were in attendance at the demonstration. Roads were closed as the protesters made their way to the conference venue.

was it 5 years ago after the ‘new’ terror legislation was passed that one of the old labour guests who had been a POW in WW2 shouted “nonsense” while jack straw was talking about iraq and he was removed and prevented from going back in to the conference hall

the word “nonsense” is now a terrorist act!!!!!
